The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) is a Tim Burton stop-action animated musical film about the inhabitants of Halloween Town who take over Christmas one year. It was based on a poem of the same name written by Burton. The film was released by Touchstone Pictures, a film studio owned by the Walt Disney Company.
